Laser Cleaning Services

Commercial Kitchen Laser Cleaning

Remove baked-on grease and carbon from hoods, grills, ducts and stainless equipment with no degreaser and no water.

Grease that has been cooked onto a hood, a grill or a fryer housing for years does not come off with degreaser and a scrub pad. It has carbonized. Laser cleaning removes that carbon layer and the grease underneath by breaking its bond with the stainless steel, with no chemicals, no water and no shutdown for drying. The surface comes back to clean metal.

Gulf South Laser works with restaurants, hotels, commissaries, institutional kitchens and hood service companies across New Orleans and Metairie. The mobile unit sets up during off hours and the kitchen is back in service the same day.

Carbon that has been cooked on for years lifts off, not just the fresh grease on top.

Commercial Kitchen Laser Cleaning: frequently asked questions

Can a laser clean a commercial kitchen hood?

Yes. Laser cleaning removes carbonized grease from hoods, baffles, plenums and the surrounding stainless without degreaser or water. It is especially effective on buildup that chemical cleaning has stopped touching.

Is laser cleaning safe around food equipment?

The process adds nothing to the surface. There is no chemical residue, which is one of the main reasons kitchens choose it. The equipment is cleaned by a trained technician with extraction running and the area is controlled during the work.

Do we have to shut down the kitchen?

We schedule during off hours. Most equipment is cleaned between service periods or overnight and is ready when you open.

Can you clean grills and flat tops?

Yes. Grates, griddles, charbroilers and burner assemblies are cleaned down to bare metal, which also helps them heat evenly.

Does this replace my regular hood cleaning?

Laser cleaning is a deep restoration of the equipment surface. Your regular hood and duct maintenance schedule, including any inspection requirements, continues as normal. Many hood service companies use us for the buildup they cannot remove by other means.
